One of my favorite concerts was seeing Of Montreal in a little coffeehouse in Arlington, Va. in 2004. Their performance of this song was a highlight. The harmonies in the band were fantastic. What this song teaches me is to value the unexpected. I had no idea the song would have that many turns and changes, which is what I want from my poetry. But though it is so varied, Lysergic Bliss also has each part fitting together well. A great song from a sometimes great band!
