Music to Read By -- Sing Me Spanish Techno by The New Pornographers

I probably played this song too often when it came out.  This band is my third favorite Canadian indie band, after Broken Social Scene and the Unicorns, and is the one still performing.  I saw them at the 9:30 Club opening for Belle and Sebastian, and this song was one of those highlights.  I have no idea what they're singing about, nor have I heard Spanish techno before.  What matters are the words and music as sounds, instead of meaning.  I've thought of poetry a lot in this context, and it's helped me enjoy/write different kinds of works (like The Art of Dissolving's "Factory Voice"), and sometimes not make sense on purpose.  The song has an addictive quality I want for my poems, because all the elements of it work together -- harmonies, rhythm, etc. Enjoy this song!
